Nach einem längeren Aufenthalt vor einigen Jahren (siehe unten), ist Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yunus Eryaman vom 18.9. bis 22.9.2023 im Rahmen eines ERASMUS- Programms bei uns zu Besuch.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yunus Eryaman war 2016/17 TÜBITAK–Gastprofessor an der Universität Hamburg. Er war Gast der Fakultät für Erziehungswissenschaft im Fachbereich Allgemeine, Interkulturelle und International Vergleichende Erziehungswissenschaft. Eryaman ist Professor für Philosophie der Erziehung und lehrt an der Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Universität (Türkei), wo er auch die Funktion des Vizedekans der Fakultät für Erziehungswissenschaft sowie die interimistische Rolle des Kanzlers der Universität innehatte. Er ist Vorstandsmitglied der European Educational Research Association (EERA), war von July 2020 bis Juni 2022 Präsident der World Education Research Association (WERA) und nun Immediate Past President der WERA.
Short biographical information
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yunus Eryaman serves as the president of International Association of Educators and as a Research Expert at the European Commission. He is currently the immediate past president of World Education Research Association (WERA) and professor of Curriculum and Instruction at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University. He has worked as a DAAD-TUBITAK professor at the Institute for International Comparative and Intercultural Education in the University of Hamburg, Germany for two years. He was a visiting Professor and Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies in Education at London Metropolitan University, UK in 2011. He received his MEd from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.
Prof. Dr. Eryaman currently serves as the series editor of a Springer Book series entitled “Evidence, Science and Public Good in Education”, as a co-editor of Routledge Book series entitled “Global Perspectives on Education Research”, and as the regional editor of the “Bloomsbury Education and Childhood Studies” series of Bloomsbury Publishing. He is the managing editor of International Journal of Progressive Education; the author of Teaching as Practical Philosophy (2008), and the book editor of Evidence and Public Good in Educational Policy, Research and Practice (2017), International Handbook of Progressive Education (2015); Accountability and Transparency in Education: Global Challenges and Local Realities (2014) and Peter McLaren, Education, and the Struggle for Liberation (2009).
