WERA-IRN: Minority and Minoritised Teachers
Exploring Social Justice in Schools around the World
Recruiting teachers from minorities is a strategy in education systems around the world to promote social justice. The network aims to investigate the experiences of minority/minoritised (pre-service) teachers worldwide and to analyse the social and institutional processes that marginalise teachers, addressing discrimination in its many forms, including racism, ableism, classism, and sexism. The network is convened by eleven (post-doctoral) researchers from Argentina, the Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, Switzerland and Ukraine.
Further information on WERA-IRNs can be found on the WERA site.
