Caitlin Ryan from the University of Calgary, Canada will be visiting Universität Hamburg from 16 October to 06 December 2019 to work with German native speakers for her Master’s thesis. She holds grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst for her work on second-language sociopragmatics in German.
Caitlin received her Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Calgary in Computer Science and is now completing her Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics. Her Master’s thesis focuses on computer assisted language instruction on second-person addresses for second-language learners of German.
