It is more difficult to understand well structured texts if you have prior knowledge??
Understanding texts is essential, also for learning in sciences. To this end, both characteristics of readers and text characteristics are relevant. Combined in different ways, these characteristics can lead to various degrees of successful reading.
This project examines systematically how well texts with certain characteristics are understood by secondary school students with different person characteristics.
