General information on bachelor and master's theses in Educational Psychology
You can choose your thesis from the entire field of educational psychology. When considering the subject, it is advisable to build on previous research during your studies (e. g. projects accomplished in the research workshop). Besides, please give priority to our research focusses and the topics for a thesis that might be offered there. Sometimes, other subjects proposed by students will also be supervised.
The theses can follow various methodologies. Usually, theses in educational psychology contain empirical investigation, either based on the student's own data collection or on the analysis of existing data (Telse Iwers supervises primarily qualitative research, Jan Retelsdorf mainly quantitative research). By arrangement, however, it is also possible to supervise theoretically oriented work (with the claim of a theoretical innovation) or to conduct literature reviews.
