The Faculty offers educational degree programs in the tiered study system.
One of the Faculty’s central tasks is helping to shape the teacher training degree programs at Universität Hamburg. It offers the following subjects:
- general education,
- school education and educational research,
- early childhood and primary education,
- special needs education,
- vocational and business education as well as
- subject-specific teaching methodology.
The close interlinking of educational courses and classes on subject-specific teaching methodology are one of the hallmarks of these degree programs. Students also gain practical experience in school.
Specialization courses and interdisciplinary modules allow students to tailor their Bachelor's degree in Educational Science to their personal interests.
The Master's programs in various fields of Education offer profiles that tie in with the faculty's key areas of research.
Young scientists can work for a doctoral degree at this faculty. A graduate school supports their scientific education.
