Admission requirements

To apply for our program you need to meet one of the following admission requirements:

• A first degree in education/pedagogy acquired at the University of Hamburg or a similar program at another university
• A first degree acquired with a minor in education/pedagogy or a similar program at the University of Hamburg or at another university
• A teaching degree acquired at the University of Hamburg or at another university that qualifies you to teach at primary or secondary schools, or at special needs or vocational schools.
• A first degree in a modern philology with a linguistic content of at least 30 CP attained at the University of Hamburg or a similar program at another university.

Sufficient proof of English language skills that qualify for comprehension of specialist literature and participation in English language seminars or seminars held in English. English language skills should amount to five years of English at school, attested either by school leaving certificate/ university entrance, or by a language certificate, e.g. TOEFL or IELTS
