Function of the graduate school
The graduate school helps the faculty to establish and foster quality standards for doctoral studies. Among other things, responsibilities include:
- coordinating and developing the support program for doctoral students, e.g.,
- specialist colloquiums for the ongoing development of doctoral studies based on the presentation of intermediate findings;
- workshops, guest presentations, lecture series on specific topics and methods;
- events on issues relevant to all disciplines, such as academic publishing, preparing expert reports, and formulating research applications;
- devising internalization measures for doctoral training;
- promoting cooperation in doctoral training between supervisors, departments, faculties, and external institutions;
- providing support for doctoral students’ research projects;
- involving teaching staff and doctoral students in the conception and organization of support services, among others via the graduate school board.
