Aims and Background:
The project "E²D² - Early Education for Data Management Decisions" aims to build students' research data management skills at an early stage.
Students are picked up at their level of knowledge and addressed with subject-specific examples, so that learned methods can facilitate the handling of research data. For example, students learn about the research data lifecycle. This includes the initial research question, project planning, data collection, analysis and interpretation, synthesis, documentation, publication, scheduled deletion, and potential reuse. This is because managed data is the foundation for FAIR and open data. Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis can thus have higher quality and potential post-use of data for further research questions.
