Data Literacy at the Intersection of Computer Science and Geography - Teaching Materials PublishedInitial teaching materials for the development of a weather station with the Calliope mini published and freely accessible

As part of the research lab "Data Literacy for Teachers" in the summer term 2022 with an interdisciplinary focus on teaching data literacy at the intersection of computer science and geography, the initial materials for free use in the teaching of secondary school students have now been created and published:
The teaching material is intended for teachers who want to teach the topic "weather and climate change" in an interdisciplinary way. It contains worksheets that have been created for pre-service teachers. In addition, it contains a comprehensive description of the required equipment and further information for teachers. Furthermore, similar to the worksheet, there is also a Moodle activity for integration into the own Moodle course.
The aim of this module is to promote the data literacy competencies of the pre-service teachers and to offer them material to use this module in their roles as multipliers in schools.
The module continues until 31.03.2022. In the second half of the research lab, students deal with their own research questions on the topics covered in the course accompanied by theoretical introductions to research data management - from data collection to documentation.
