On Monday, 26.11.2018, we were pleased to welcome Dr. Audrey Cameron to talk about "Deaf Children in Scottish Schools: Curriculum, Attainment and Challenges". She developed the presentation in cooperation with her colleague Rachel O'Neill. As she communicated in BSL, a team of deaf and hearing sign language interpreters was present. Thus, everyone had the opportunity to participate in the talk.
In her very interesting talk, Dr. Audrey Cameron talked about her own experiences as an educator for hearing impaired children and about the education of hearing impaired children in Great Britain. She also shared her experiences in developing vocabulary in the STEM subjects in British Sign Language. The talk was followed by a stimulating exchange with the audience.
