As part of a networking conference on the internationalization of teacher education that took place at Universität Hamburg at the end of March 2022, partner universities Indiana University Bloomington and Université de Strasbourg sent 3 representatives to visit the Hamburg Brecht Schule. The first incoming students from Indiana University Bloomington are now completing an 8-week internship at the school.
“On Wednesday, Prof. Anastasia Morrone and Prof. Laura Stachowski, both from Indiana University, and Kaitlin Plachy from Université de Strasbourg (UNISTRA) visited the [Brecht] school. They were accompanied by Myriam Hummel, head of Universität Hamburg’s International Office, which works towards the internationalization of teacher training in Hamburg, among other things. [...] The 3 educators from the USA and France were especially interested in the German and Hamburg school systems generally and, specifically, in the Brecht Schule as a private, independent, non-profit educational institution.”
