The Buddy Programm

The tasks a buddy can perform are highly diverse. A buddy can help exchange students plan their stay even before the semester starts by answering any questions that may arise, picking them up upon arrival in Hamburg, and accompanying them to their accommodations. The buddy can also assist the exchange student in organizing studies, opening a bank account, and making the necessary visits to local authorities. Joint leisure-time activities and sight-seeing excursions may naturally be on the agenda as well! Ultimately, a buddy’s tasks vary from case to case. The buddy must determine how to help the exchange student and what types of activities to undertake with him or her.
