Project launch for international cooperation against hate on the internet
The first online meeting on February 21 marked the official launch of this year's international DAAD project “Together Against Hate on the Internet: Prevention and Intervention Strategies for Young People in Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine” on the prevention of cyberhate among young people.
A key component of this year's project is the publication of scientific articles based on last year's research findings on the topic of “Cyberhate among adolescents”. In addition, practical methods and training courses will be developed to raise awareness and support young people in dealing with cyberhate.
Julia Levin is coordinating the project in close collaboration with the cooperation partners. These include Dr. Prof. Svitlana Khadzhyradieva from the State University of Intelligent Technologies and Telecommunications in Ukraine, who is coordinating the project for other Ukrainian partners such as the Izmail State Humanitarian University and the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University K.D. Ushinsky. Our team also includes Jyldyz Doolbekova, Ph.D., and Almagul Osmonova from the Taalim-Forum Public Foundation in Kyrgyzstan and Svetlana Haraz from the Free International University in Moldova.
As part of the project, a summer school will be held in Hamburg in August 2025. During this event, the partners will visit the University of Hamburg to participate in seminars, lectures and workshops on the core topics of the project.
