Johanna Dejanovikj successfully defends her thesis. The title: Reflection as a learning object in the classroom to promote assessment skills. Congratulations, Johanna!

Positive funding decision from the German Federal Environmental Foundation: Together with Studio Feynstein, we are realising the ‘Climate Physics in Podcast’ project.

Dietmar Höttecke is part of a delegation from the Faculty of Education at Universität Hamburg to the National Taiwan University in Taipei. There we are working together with researchers from NTU and Indiana University Bloomington.

The 50th GDCP annual conference and 50th anniversary of the society will take place at our premises. After almost two years of preparation together with Chemistry Didactics, we are delighted to be hosting the event. Thank you to the approx. 500 guests for coming, presenting, discussing, exchanging ideas and celebrating! Thank you for the very interesting and successful plenary lectures! And a big thank you to a very committed and fantastic conference team! We have made it.

We present our DFG project PhyDiv in our faculty's podcast, Bildungsschnack. That was a lot of fun for us.

DFG funding notification: We are delighted to have been awarded a new project together with the Hamburg geography didacticist Sandra Sprenger. It is called ‘Science Media Literacy - an intervention study’

BMBF funding decision: We are delighted to be able to launch our new MINT4all project together with geography, maths and computer science didactics!

Lecture by Dietmar Höttecke as part of a lecture series ‘Education for Climate Protection’ at LMU at the invitation of Harald Lesch. Topic: Science communication in a world of filter bubbles, echo chambers and fake news: the examples of corona and climate change.

Carina Wöhlke has successfully defended her thesis in an online procedure. Congratulations to her! The whole working group is delighted for her, also because it was the first online defence for us and everything went well.
