Financial Support - Network Funding

Our network provides budget for emergent researchers (PhDs, PostDocs, Junior Profs) to support research activities promptly.

What is funded: Funding includes conference fees, travel costs, technical support/special software, short-term working contract for study assistants, translation costs and publishing fees (e.g., open access).

Who can apply: Every emergent researcher who is a network member can apply for funds.

Assessment of applications: Within the executive committee we use a four-eyes principle to assess your application. Application will be considered keeping the following in mind: link to network topic and aim, amount requested, and need of funding. Due to a limited yearly budged, we recommend checking other funding possibilities (e.g., host university, DAAD) before submitting your application.

From 2021 to 2024, NextGenLit supported its early-career members with research and publishing costs, and helped to finance international conference travel and field research. Please note that this funding program has now ended and applications are no longer being accepted!
